Authors 4Charity is an organization made up of authors, booksellers, agents and promotional people. We encourage writers to reach their full potential and promote writing within the community.

   Welcome to Authors 4Charity,  an organization for the promotional advancement of fiction and non-fiction published authors.   When you show you care, someone else will care. We are eager to meet you and help make your book promotion dreams and your dreams to help others come true! 

AFC founded by Shirley Dicks, an organization consisting of independent, fiction and nonfiction published authors from all over the world

The purpose of this organization is to give published authors the opportunity to hold book signings, any place of their choosing, along with the opportunity to donate a portion of their earnings to the charity of their choice.  At every signing, authors must donate a portion of their sales to  recognized charity and reported to the AFC.  No set amount is required because each author is under different contractual obligations.  But we expect the authors to at least make a 'tithing' amount (10%).

Membership is available to all authors, editors, agents, booksellers, and other industry professionals, librarians and booksellers.  Members of Authors For Charity are free to arrange separate signings for themselves, or join with other authors for group signings, as long as each signing is dedicated to the same charity.  

  By offering a portion of the proceeds of our book sales, this concept will undoubtedly open more doors for author signings than ever before, such as coffee shops, gift shops, home offices of the charities you are donating to, men and women’s private clubs, country clubs, etc.     

  Upon joining, members will be issued an official Authors For Charity membership card to present to the representatives of the charity of their choice. This confirmation will give the charitable organizations the opportunity to provide authors with printed materials about the charity to use at their signings.

We will be adding chapters to Authors For Charity in all states and cities.  All chapter members must belong to the main group with dues being paid in good standing before starting a chapter. Dues are $55.00 year.  All chapters will be listed on our web site.
